My condolences to Larry's family and friends I just learned of Larry’s death, believe he died in a farm accident.
Knew of him through SJU wrestling program, he was a valued member of Terry Haws champion teams 1970-74 (a golden era of SJU wrestling.) I was aware that he came to Australia in 77 but never connected with him.

I wrestled with Larry at St. John's. Boy was he a tough one. Hearing all the accomplishments and thirst for knowledge he had doesn't surprise me. He had so much energy when I knew him.

We are so sorry to hear about Larry.
He has always been an inspiration to me. Ever since meeting him on the farm 30 years ago I have delighted in his various inventions and incredible vision. From streams of fish oil running down the hills, the upsi daisy, that unique water pump for filling your tanks and the off grid vision which seemed so ahead of it's time. When we started building our farm I would sometimes ponder, ‘What would Larry & Penny do?'
I dearly remember Larry helping me set up his tent to sleep in. The tent that he proudly took to Woodstock. It was a special night and Tess and I felt honoured to sleep in it.
If there is an afterlife, I am sure Larry is making some adjustments and has the gods scratching their heads wondering, 'Why have we never thought of that?'

Larry was an all-around good man. He was loved by all who knew him. I communicated with him via emails and Zoom while we were planning our high school 50th class reunion. It was great to reconnect with him. Larry was an outstanding athlete as a football player and wrestler. He will be missed. Sending my condolences to his wife, Penny, and the members of his family. Rest in peace, Larry!

I am so sorry to hear of Larry's untimely passing. It was always a treat when Larry came back to the US and spent some time at Cafe Rose in Edgewood having coffee with the Tuesday group that he had been introduced to by a mutual friend. At other times he would drop in for "virtual coffee" via Skype or Zoom though it was 2 or 3 in the morning in Australia.
He was wicked smart, and kept current on happenings throughout the world. He could converse knowledgeably on almost any topic, and always offered an interesting perspective in our discussions.
On behalf of the Tuesday Coffee group, I extend our sincerest condolences to Penny and to his family here in the States. We will miss him.
