Sandi, Sheri, Russ, Doug and Ann, you are in my prayers. I hope you find some peace and healing as you experience God’s taking of Marita and her journey to rejoin Gene in heaven. Your mom is an amazing soul and her smile, laughter and recipes will stay with us. She always welcomed me as one of her own, especially during my summer sleepovers. Heaven gained an angel, that’s for sure.

My mother, Virginia, was a new resident to Clarendale in the past month.
Marita took Mom under her wing and showed and introduced her around the complex.
She was very sweet and thoughtful to my Mother. She has lost a new friend and will miss her dearly.
Marita was a lovely lady and Clarendale residents will all miss her.

Despite the fact, I did not know your mother well, my encounters with her left an indelible mark that I will never forget. Our best times of laughter would happen after she had a garage sale and she would pick me up to take from her garage any leftovers that did not sell. Much to her amazement, I usually took everything she had because it was of superior quality. In between garage sales, she would come by with some very high quality clothing to help those in need. If my memory is correct, she had me come after your dad passed away to select the items I could use in my ministry of helping the poor. She was a beautiful woman who always dressed for the occasion so beautifully.
With all of that being said, I am sending you my sincere sympathy as it is so hard to say goodbye to mom's. I will pray for you as you walk in the valley of darkness realizing your mom has seen the Great Light.
May you always bask in the memories your dear mother created for all of you. Sincerely meant, Miriam Eick toys for needy lady

I will always remember Marita's smile and laugh whenever she was playing cards with Vera, Lila, and my mom, Ruth Lansing. I was even included during several of those games! I am sure that mom welcomed her friend, and that they have already played a few hands. Keeping you all in our prayers.
