Dear Annie, I am so sorry for your loss. Bob grew up at Petersburg, as did I, and I remember him as always having that grin on his face. What a wonderful life he led, with you at his side, obviously giving much of his time to his parish and to others. Although I live a thousand miles away, I have heard many kind things about you and Bob and your volunteer work. He has earned his "rest in peace."

Sympathies to you Annie and your family. Bob will be missed by all who knew him. We at Beckman loved Bob as a Co- worker, and friend. He has this jolly attitude about everything …and I don’t think I ever saw him in a bad mood. Always had a joke or to two tell and would say “Don’t forget to tell Charlie that one!” I think Bob is one of the happiest and nicest persons I knew in my lifetime. Beckman was blessed to have Bob working here as he was the Mr. Fix-it of the place. He was very knowledgeable about almost everything. Whenever I needed something fixed in my area of cleaning he would be my go to person. When Bob retired we missed him a lot. But I had opportunities to see both Bob and Annie sometimes when they would frequent the Chapel at Beckman. Or selling their delicious rolls and cookies at market. Bob was a man of Faith and has a Love for Family and Country. I admire the person he was and feel Blessed to have known him. Rest in peace Bob.

Where do I start...Uncle Bob was probably one of the biggest bull-shitters in eastern Iowa, always loved to visit, and had a joke or two or three or..... you get the point, on any given day. He had the biggest heart and would help anyone, just because he could. He will always be remembered as "Ol' Fart" and I think he actually took pride in that. Uncle Bob you will be truly missed, rest in peace, till the next time, Love you.

Dear Annie and family, Expressing sincere sympathy to each and everyone of you that I know so well. Our community has once again had to bid farewell to one of it's strongholds. I remember seeing your husband, dad, grandpa walking the halls of Beckman when I was there. I can hear his deep voice especially at times at Brew and Brew. Please know we are praying for you all as you walk in the valley of darkness. Because we are people of faith, we know Bob has seen the Great Light and has joined all those who have gone before him. Rest in Peace Bob. We will miss you. Sincerely meant Miriam Eick
