Condolences to Jeanine, Jolyn, Tina, Jerilyn and all of Jerry’s family at this sad time. I have very fond memories of the time I spent caring for Jerry and Jeanine’s children as their babysitter when I was in high school. Jerry tolerated my cooking with kindness and good humor! It was always nice to see Jerry and Jeanine and the kids intermittently over the years. Know that I am thinking of all of you and wish you peace,
Ann (Wessels) Goedken

On Monday, December 21, 2020, Our Heavenly Father extended His arms and embraced your husband, dad, grandfather, and friend to many with these words of love, kindness, and compassion: Jerry, your earthly mission has been completed:therefore, come journey with Me into the Heavenly Kingdom where I have prepared a place for you. Because Jerry was a man of deep faith, he willingly and joyfully embraced the Heavenly Father and embarked on his journey to the highest heavens to be greeted by those who had gone before him.
As this community of family and friends of Jerry walk in the valley of darkness, we can find great comfort in knowing he was a pillar of the town of Dyersville going about his work as any businessman would. His death touches us in a little different way because we live in one of his creations. When we came to town, he came by to see how we were doing and I said, "Jerry, our floor squeaks ahead of this door. He told me that was good as then we would know when our young kids came home from dates. Humor that he had. No he know how to fix the problem very readily.
My fondest memories are seeing him at the sporting events of his grandchildren. Without a doubt these moments were the highlight of his life. Popcorn in hand and family nearby, what else could a man ask for?
Please know each of you will be in our prayers and thoughts as you go about celebrating the life of Jerry Koch. You will miss him very much but I know you are ready to release him to Heaven where he will be free of the pangs of this earth . So very sorry

My sympathy to you all in the loss of Jerry. He was just one of the nicest people to me in Dyersville when I started at the Chamber back in 1995. What a kind and talented man he was. May wonderful memories bring you comfort in days ahead. Peace to you.

Jeanine, my sympathy to you and your family... I smile when I think of Jerry. At P&P I saw him almost daily. I learned a lot from you and Jerry. He would talk about his latest project that he was working on and just life in general. I looked forward to chatting with him. May he be at peace now. Jeanine I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I meet Jerry about 8 years ago. He was truly a person of wit and kindness. He welcomed everyone as if he knew them for a life time. I thought about him often and how I'd like to sit down and have a conversation with him again, to learn. His family was his priority and now he's with Joe having a conversation with him. God rest his soul, he'll be missed.
